![]() A2 increases her skill damage against at or above 50% hp targets by an additional 25%, for a total bonus dmg of 45%. ![]() It’s excruciatingly noticeable even against the marginally tougher enemies that Herta is not going to be contributing much at all.Įven more regrettably, her bonus traces do very little to alleviate her issues. Sadly, the damage is quite pitiful on its own, and as you may expect, against a single enemy you only get 1 spin 1 time in the entire encounter, meaning that past that point, Herta doesn’t have a talent. She can spin multiple times if the spin attack would reduce another enemy’s hp below 50%, so you can see how this can loop into itself against trash mobs. When an enemy’s hp falls below 50% max hp due to an ally attack (including her own), she will launch a follow-up attack where she spins and deals damage to all enemies. Herta’s talent is what makes farming low-threat enemies very easy, but ultimately holds her back from performing up to par against anything other than said low-threat enemies. Sure, if you compare both Herta and March 7th, you’ll see that Herta’s ultimate does deal more damage, but the freeze on March’s ultimate instantly blows Herta’s ult out of the water, because even a single tick of the freeze damage over time equalises both, with the obvious exception that enemies recovering from freeze take longer to act again, and thus March wins out again. Her ultimate also deals damage to all enemies on the field, and while visually stunning, it does nothing else besides damage, and not a lot of it either. This is quite good at dealing with weak low-level mobs you’d typically find in the EXP material Calyx, but really struggles to have an impact elsewhere against tougher enemies. If an enemy’s hp is at 50% or higher, the skill deals 20% bonus damage against them. Her skill hits all enemies on the field for the same damage multiplier as her basic attack (at equivalent trace levels). Herta is attempting to be a purely damage focused unit that has some of the worst multipliers I’ve seen, but the truly unfortunate news is that the issues extend beyond just the damage multipliers. So, getting Herta, a unit that doesn’t significantly improve on any of those benefits March has… She just doesn’t have most of those benefits. She’s given to you for free a little bit into the story, not long after Asta, actually, but you’ve already got a fantastic Ice unit in March 7th, someone who consolidates offensive and defensive utility into one. If you could use them in corrosion/Calyx/etc it'd maybe make more sense, but as for now it feels kinda meaningless, and/or only in because JRPGs 'need' that kind of thing.Herta is a somewhat unfortunate unit. Sure, they're useful for speed runs or if you're somehow REALLY stuck and can't grind because the enemies haven't respawned for the day, but the game so highly incentivizes the gacha nature for level-costs ballooning, and stat checks for light cone leveling/relics, make the relatively small/tiny buffs from the consumables feel.weird to still be included in the game. There's 'revive' stones, which.I've never even come CLOSE to needing during story content.īut you can't use ANY items (as far as I can tell, maybe the buffs secretly carry over) for attack boost/defense boost, and the hard stat checks make most of them.essentially not only optional, but almost entirely superfluous. ![]() Otherwise, a couple of things feel weird to me too - such as synthesize for the non-promotion items like the attack boosts or what have you. Which, on one hand, is good for being able to put down, then still come back in.but at the same time, makes the daily log-in and the like feel less.necessary/exciting, which in turn, (theoretically, at least) lowers the 'need' for at least some folks to whale out. Herta's resetting weekly rewards, and/or grinding for simulated world talent tree skills isn't gonna last for more than 1-2 more weeks, and people are all at max level, unless there's more to it that's yet to be unveiled. Yeah, unless they pump out content consistently every 3-4 weeks, this is quickly gonna become a 'blitz through the story, then put down and wait for the next banner/endgame content to spam while you wait for trailblazer energy to recharge'.
